Houston School Violence – One Person Is Dead And Several Others Injured After Fight At Spring High School
At least one person is dead and three injured after an altercation at a suburban Houston high school Wednesday morning.
According to reports, a fight broke out around 7:10 a.m. in the cafeteria of Spring High School about 20 miles north of Houston. One 17-year-old person is said to have been killed, and an ambulance dispatcher for the Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston confirmed a 16-year-old boy was transported to the hospital after suffering stab wounds. Two other victims were transported to Houston Memorial Hospital Northwest with minor injuries.
KTRK-TV reports that three people of interest have been taken into custody. Authorities say only cutting implements were used in the fight, and the brawl is believed (though not confirmed) to have been gang related.
