With Summer coming here in Texas, we know it's going to be hot, and know that their are chances for unexpected fires to take place. Bartlett just experienced this firsthand on Wednesday.

This story was reported by Kristen Victorin with our news partner, KWTX. Bartlett's Volunteer Fire Department arrived on the scene around 1:50 p.m.. The flames were raging, and additional crews came into assist the Bartlett's Volunteer Fire Department. The additional fire departments that came to assist were Granger, Holland, Jarrell, and Little River.

The brush fire destroyed a vacant home, and had also spread to some hay bales that were on the property. The fire departments on the scene brought the blazes to an end before they could get to a barn that was on the property as well. No injuries occurred on the scene.
