Drivers on Interstate 45 went hog wild after a semi-truck crash in Wilmer Thursday.

NBCDFW.com reported that the interstate just south of Dallas was shut down for hours because pigs were set loose after the truck hauling them flipped over the median.

The truck was heading south with 195 pigs when it crashed. Police spent the next few hours rounding up the pigs that got loose. (Insert your own joke here.)

One group of pigs tried to make it all the way home, but were rounded up about a half mile from the wreck.

The pig rig driver was not hurt. No word if any of the pigs were injured or BBQ'd on the highway.

One thing's for sure: there was a lot swine-ing on social media from people stuck when the interstate was turned into a porking lot on the way to work.
