The administrative staff at Santa Fe High School have been told that Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt has offered to pay for the funerals of all the shooting victims from last weeks tragedy.

Fox 26 reports that 1 person is in police custody for the shootings. 17-year-old Dimitrios Pagourtzis has been charged with Capital Murder and Aggravated Assault of a Peace Officer. Ten people died in the school shooting and ten others injured.

J.J. won the Sports Illustrated Sports Person of the Year award in 2017 for his contributions on and off the field. Relief efforts for the victims of Hurrican Harvey had plenty to do with the money raised and donated from Watts. He was also awarded the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award. He continues to be one of the first to step up when Texans are in need.
