Joe Walsh Helping Veterans With VetsAid

Joe Walsh’s father died in a plane crash while he was stationed in Okinawa. Joe was 20 months old at the time. Factoring in the memories of the friends he lost in Vietnam, Mr Walsh decided to set up an organization to help veterans.

Walsh made an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Wednesday night. He shared a few stories of his party years with John Belushi. More importantly, he explained how he’s going to help out local/county veteran groups with a series of concerts.

The organization he set up is called VetsAid. He has set up a benefit concert that will feature Keith Urban, Zac Brown Band, Gary Clark Jr, and of course himself. The concert will be held September 20th at EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia.
