Killeen Burglary Suspect Reportedly Shot at Pursuing Officer

Killeen police say four burglary suspects are in custody, and one fired at an officer during pursuit.

Our news partners at KWTX report that officers were dispatched to a home on Cedarhill Drive around noon Sunday. As they were approaching the scene, the caller who alerted police to the burglary said the suspects were walking away from the area.

The suspects reportedly fled when the officer arrived. The officer said a suspect fired a shot during pursuit, striking a nearby vehicle and building. Police were able to capture the suspects and obtain the gun.

Thankfully, it doesn't look like anyone was injured. The case remained under investigation Monday.
