Well back at work after three days off, I was among the lucky ones who could enjoy an extended Labor Day weekend.  I feel for those of you who had to work. Were you pretty stressed by the whole "work on a holiday" experience?  If you said yes and you live in Killeen or Harker Heights, the folks at CreditDonkey would not be surprised.

That website has just named Killeen the most stressful city in Texas. Harker Heights came in at number 8. Both cities beat Dallas which made number 10.

This is what CreditDonkey used to determine the stress level.

Odds of being a victim of violent crime, commute time, average hours worked per week, percentage of divorcees, and percentage of income spent on housing.

The web site says, the high cost of housing, long work hours, and relatively high crime rate earned Killeen the #1 spot as the most stressful city in Texas.

As a Killeenite, I just don't see it. Maybe because I have the easiest job in the world and my commute is at 3 am when no other cars are on the road. My husband is asleep when I go to work and I am asleep when he comes home. Plus, I know KARATE!

To help out you stressed folks, here are some ways I found to relieve stress in Killeen and Harker Heights:

Get a pet from the animal shelter, (preferable one that is not afraid of thunder and artillery), grow some veggies and sell them at the Farmer's Market, volunteer, and exercise.
