The Killeen ISD on Tuesday morning held a press conference updating its plans for the Class of 2020 and its graduation ceremonies.

KISD Superintendent Dr. John Craft announced that the district will move forward with its plans for a "virtual graduation" ceremony in the short term and will host a "traditional ceremony" at the Bell County Expo Center.

The "virtual" ceremonies will be broadcast on KISD-TV Spectrum Channel 17 and stream on the KISD website the weekend of Friday May 29th through May 31st. The district plans to host a traditional ceremony in Belton on July 20th and July 21st.

The district also announced plans to reopen campuses on May 18th so parents can register children for the next academic school year. The district also projects that most district employees can return to work on June 1st.
