Killeen police have charged a man with possession of methamphetamine after searching his vehicle during a traffic stop.

Nasser Assed, 52, was stopped by an officer Friday on Rancier Avenue near Twin Creek Drive in Killeen after he made several turns without signaling. The officer asked to search Nasser’s vehicle, and a drug sniffing dog sensed the presence of narcotics. A search of the car turned up a bag under the driver’s seat containing a substance that tested positive as meth.

Assed was charged with possession of a controlled substance, 200 grams or more but less than 400 grams. He has been arraigned with bail set at $100,000.
