Police are looking for two suspects believed to have shot and robbed a man in Killeen early Monday morning.

Officers responded to the area of 2nd St. and W. Green Ave at 12:52 a.m. after someone called 911 to report a gunshot victim. Witnesses told officers they saw the victim walking along the road, and officers located him in the 500 block of N. 2nd St. The man was treated by Killeen Fire Department paramedics before being airlifted to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple where he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. He remained in critical condition Monday afternoon.

The 26-year-old victim told police he was sitting at a pavilion when he was approached by a black man and a black woman who demanded money. When the victim told them he didn’t have any money, the man shot him and took some of his possessions. The two then fled on foot.
