Killeen Police Investigating Alleged Robbery at Lions Club Park

Killeen police are investigating an alleged robbery at Lions Club Park.

In a news release issued Wednesday, KPD Commander Erich Morsbach said officers were dispatched to Metroplex Hospital in reference to an assault that reportedly occurred around 8:20 PM at the park.

The victims told offers they left the exercise path and were headed back to their vehicle when they were approached by a group of 3 or 4 men. According to the victims, they were trying to enter the vehicle when the men attacked them and stole a backpack.

The assailants were described as African-American men wearing sweatshirts, hoodies, and basketball shorts.
