Killeen Police Investigating Wednesday Shooting

KWTX's Alex Cano reported that Killeen authorities are hard at work investigating a shooting that took place on Wednesday night.

The shooting that occurred left a man shot in Killeen. The police spokeswoman for the Killeen Pollice Department said, "Officers were dispatched at 7:14 p.m. to the 1700 block of Old FM 440 Road in reference to a disturbance."

Authorities who arrived to the scene of the shooting, saw a man who was in obvious pain and suffering from a gunshot wound. Authorities said the man was taken to the Metroplex Hospital for the injuries he suffered due to the gunshot.

Authorities also added that the injuries sustained from the gunshot should not be life threatening to the man that was at the scene. Authorities have not released any further information at this time, since the investigation is presently ongoing.
