For the second time in less than a week, Fort Hood bomb experts have been called to investigate the discovery of a grenade lying around in Central Texas.

KWTX reports that Temple's McGregor Park was closed Saturday evening after a child stepped on a grenade in the water, then threw it ashore around 7 PM. Thankfully, the pin was still intact.

A representative with the Bell County Sheriff's Department told KWTX that Fort Hood's Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit was called to investigate.

On Wednesday, the Unit was called to a home in the 2300 block of Cemetery Road in West after a contractor found a live, World War II-era grenade in a storage room. Technicians dug a pit and detonated the device.
