Lane Closures Starting in Killeen Tuesday

A press release issued by the City of Killeen Tuesday warned that drivers in the city should be on the lookout for lane closures starting June 12th.

The lane closures were scheduled on Onion Road from Elms Road to Stan Schlueter Loop. Work crews will be adding striping to Onion Road.

Work is expected to take place from 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., and should last through Friday afternoon.

There will be routes where traffic is directed around the work zone during work hours, and drivers are asked to use caution while driving through the construction zone.

Drivers are encouraged by work crews to use an alternate route, and the city of Killeen apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause for drivers.
