Lightning Strike at Tyler, TX School on Footage

A lightning bolt struck a large tree in dramatic fashion at Bishop Thomas K. Gorman Catholic School last Thursday in Tyler, Texas. The footage taken from a security camera illustrates the havoc one lightning strike can wreak.

Mark Scirto from KLTV noted that no one was injured from the natural phenomenon, thankfully due to the fact that all students were safely in class. It's certainly one way to keep kids from ditching or sneaking out of classrooms.
