The Temple High School Wildcat Band will be rolling in style beginning this season after a former drum major and long-time sponsor made it a mission to get them a truck to transport their instruments and equipment.

KWTX reports that Kody Shed, president of Temple's InHouse Systems, worked with McLane Company Ceo Grady Rosier to donate a customized semi-trailer to the band, which had been renting two box trucks for several years. A truck from Downing Transportation in Troy will pull the new trailer.

Director of Bands Alan Guckian told KTWX that he can’t wait for the band to see the new trailer. “It’s a point of pride. The kids get to see that and it lifts them up a bit and gets them excited and riled up for the upcoming season.”

The cost of the trailer totals around $30,000 dollars.
