KWTX's Chelsea Edwards reported that local firefighters fought a fire early Monday morning, dealing with mother nature as well as the flames.

The flames were attempting to spread from a house fire in Nolanville, and crews arrived to the scene a little after 3:00 a.m.. Crews were called out to the house, which was located on FM 439 nearby Lonesome Oak Drive.

When the fire crews arrived on the scene, the house was already engulfed in flames. Firefighters attempting to put the fire out, had to battle with strong winds and rain also early Monday morning.

Firefighters said the house was vacant, and a neighbor had no knowledge of anyone living there.

The Nolanville Fire Department said, "The structure had no power to it, so the Bell County Fire Marshal was requested to scene for a possible arson." The Nolanville Fire Department also said, "The house was a total loss along with the contents, which included desks, chairs, shelving and other school type contents."
