Local School District Shuts Down For Week Due To Illnesses

We are right in the middle of a particularly nasty flu season, and one local school district is shutting down for the week due to illnesses.

KWTX reported that Clifton Independent School District would be shutting down for the rest of the week after Tuesday's classes.

The news broke to the public through a Facebook post from the Clifton ISD Facebook page. The post said, "Due to health concerns and increased student absences, all Clifton ISD campuses will be closed Wednesday, January 31-Friday, Feb. 2."

Classes will resume in the school district on Monday February 4th.
