Local Teacher In Cuffs After Inappropriate Relationship Charges

KWTX reported that a local educator was arrested on Friday on inappropriate relationship charges.

The educator taught in the Academy Independent School District, and the Academy ISD Superintendent Kevin Sprinkles spread the word to parents through a letter.

The district has not went public with the identity of the educator who was arrested. Sprinkles said, "We have reported the arrest to (the Texas Education Agency) and as of today, the staff member is no longer employed by the Academy ISD,

He also added, "At this time, we have no evidence of any other inappropriate relationships or conduct, but we have begun an investigation to be sure no other students were affected in any way."
