Daniel Ryan Norton was arrested by Copperas Cove on Sunday after discovering over 120 grams of methamphetamine in his vehicle.

Norton was arraigned Monday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, more than 4 grams but less than 200 grams. Bond was set at $8,000.

The methamphetamine was discovered under a cup holder in Norton's car during an inventory of the vehicle.

Norton's vehicle was originally pulled over after he failed to signal continuously for 100 feet while turning east from North Third Street onto Bonnie Lane.

After the traffic stop, a second vehicle pulled up next to Norton's and leaned into the vehicle as if buying drugs. The officer told the second person to back off, and they complied.
