Killeen police arrested Kevin Duane Drisdale on Sunday after he allegedly interfered with an emergency call.

Officers arrived at the residence on Santa Rosa Drive and spoke with a woman standing outside. She told the police that Drisdale, her boyfriend, woke her up by slapping her and asking about a photo on her cellphone. She said she was tired of Drisdale slapping her, and called 911.

During the call, Drisdale grabbed the phone and threw it onto the ground, causing the battery to fall out.

The woman out the battery back in the phone and it began ringing when the 911 dispatcher called. Drisdale would not let her answer the phone.

Drisdale was arraigned on a charge on interfering with an emergency telephone call. Bail was set at $5,000.
