Man Killed By Shot Through House In Killeen

Reports from the Killeen Police have confirmed the death of a man early Friday morning. According to Kathleen Serie and our news partner, KWTX, the man was killed by a bullet that traveled through the wall of his home and hit him in the back.

Authorities responded to reports of a shooting victim in the 5300 block of Allegany Drive around 4:40 a.m. The woundeed man was Glenroy Joseph Smith, Jr., 34.

Smith was taken to the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, where he later passed away. There were three adults and five children at the residence when the shooting occurred. No one else sustained injuries, and there are no suspects at this time. Killeen police are searching the scene for more information.
