KWTX's Ke'Sha Lopez reported that crews working in Waco hit a natural gas line Tuesday morning.

The natural gas line hit, is located at Baylor University's campus. The Baylor Parking Garage located at Dutton Avenue and University Parks Drive, had to be shut down due to the leak. The garage closing is sure to lead to traffic delays due to less parking being available.

The gas line break was reported around 10:30 a.m., and an Atmos Energy team quickly responded to the scene. A contractor was setting up a concrete structure, and accidentally hit a two inch gas line.

The break was fixed, and the garage opened back up to the public just before 12:00 p.m. today. When the gas line was initially struck, Baylor University police cleared out the garage, two offices, and a counseling center to ensure safety. The BU police said, it was just a precautionary move for safety.
