New Sparta Road Roundabout Opens in Belton
KXXV and the Temple Daily Telegram are reporting that today will be the first day that the new Sparta road roundabout will open to traffic.
The roundabout will only open partially today to traffic from the south and west of the roundabout. It is expected to open to traffic from all directions next month.
Belton's new traffic circle is part of the $3.1 Million Dollar expansion project taking place in the city. Work on the expansion will be ongoing into the spring.
If you have never driven a roundabout before it's pretty easy. Just remember to yield. Yield to the folks already going around the roundabout before you enter the circle and off ya go. Drive Safely!
