One Dead After Early Morning Crash in Centex

KWTX reported that a man died following a terrible rollover crash in the Central Texas area Wednesday morning.

The crash happened in Hill County early Wednesday morning, and the Texas Department of Public Safety released a press release saying the following:

"On Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at approximately 3:00 a.m., a single vehicle fatal crash occurred on IH-35W near FM 2959, north of Hillsboro.

Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to the scene.

An initial investigation determined a Nissan SUV traveling southbound left the roadway, attempted to take corrective action, reentered the roadway, and overturned.

The driver was ejected. The driver Jake Thacker, 35, of Grand Prairie was pronounced dead at the scene.

Next of kin have been notified.

The investigation is still ongoing."
