The Associated Press reports that a man working on a water tower in Southeast Texas lost his life on Friday morning.

The accident happened in Porter, Texas when a man was working on the water tower and a metal panel shifted, falling on and fatally injuring him.

A spokesperson for the Porter Fire Department said, "One person was killed in the Friday morning accident during construction. Another worker was taken to the hospital with arm and chest injuries. Two other workers who were unhurt were rescued."

Fire crew officials believe the piece of metal that fell was being lifted and put into place during the time it fell. Porter is located about 30 miles northeast of Houston.
