An overnight shooting in Killeen sent a man to the hospital early Wednesday morning. KWTX's Kathleen Serie reported that Killeen authorities responded to the 400 block of East Sprott Avenue, around 3:50 Wednesday morning for reports of a wounded victim.

The victim was wounded by gunshots, and was in front of the Friends in Crisis Shelter. The victim, who was in his 30's, told the authorities he had been shot on the 1300 block of North 8th Street.

The victim walked to the shelter, and the employees there called 911 for the victim. The victim was taken to Scott and White Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The Killeen Police said, the man had been shot twice.

The authorities investigated where the man said the shooting occurred, and there were shell casings found in the area. No suspect information was available at the time, and the investigation is ongoing.
