Former Mayor Pro Tem Judy Morales Sentenced to Probation

Former Temple mayor pro tem Judy Morales received a sentence of deferred adjudication probation Wednesday after pleading no contest to a charge of destroying or altering public documents. Morales, who resigned from the Temple City Council on Thursday, March 20, must also serve 24 hours of public service, pay a fine of $750 and cover $240 in court costs.

Morales could have faced up to 180 days in jail and a fine of up to $4,000.

Multiple Students Stabbed at Pennsylvania High School

Updated 12:20 p.m.: The attacker in this case reportedly wielded two knives when he injured 19 students and 1 security guard before being tackled by an assistant principal. Those injured were either slashed or stabbed, and 4 are currently in critical condition. The security guard reportedly suffered a stomach wound. Two of the students in critical condition reportedly suffered chest wounds. Other students were treated and released for superficial wounds.
