BRYAN, Texas (AP) — Police in Central Texas say an intoxicated 22-year-old man has been arrested after knocking on the doors of strangers and demanding he be let in to sleep.

Zakry Ernest Zapata remained in the Brazos County jail Monday on charges that include public intoxication and making a terroristic threat causing fear of serious bodily injury.

The Corpus Christi man was arrested in a Bryan neighborhood Saturday. The Eagle newspaper reports (http://bit.ly/1i09R1z ) he threatened to get a gun and harm the residents of a home when they declined to give him a bed.

Authorities say Zapata was fighting with another neighbor when police arrived. Arresting officers found no weapon.

Making a terroristic threat is a misdemeanor punishable by up to 180 days in prison and a fine of $10,000.
