One man was shot and two others assaulted during a robbery outside a Killeen nightclub early Wednesday morning.

Killeen police responded to a call about a shooting at Cuckoo's Nest Night Club at 104 W. Veterans Memorial Blvd. at 3:13 AM.

When they arrived, they learned that four men were leaving the club through a backdoor when two light-skinned black or Hispanic men demanded their money.

During the robbery, one of the four victims was shot, and two others were assaulted. The suspects then fled the scene.

The shooting victim was taken to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple, where he was in stable condition late Wednesday morning.

The two men who were assaulted were taken to Killeen's Metroplex Hospital in stable condition.

Police were still investigating the robbery late Wednesday morning.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the robbery or the suspects to contact Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-TIPS (8477), online at bellcountycrimestoppers.com, or via the P3 tips mobile app.

Crime Stoppers will not ask your name, all information is anonymous and confidential, and information leading to an arrest could net a cash reward of up to $1,000.

An earlier draft of this story indicated that the four victims were standing outside the club after hours when they were robbed. This has been amended in the latest update.
