Update 1:15 pm: The barricaded suspect is in custody. Police reportedly deployed a flash-bang grenade as a distraction around noon and arrested the gunman just before 1 pm. No injuries have been reported.

Dallas SWAT has responded to an armed man who has barricaded himself in an apartment building in Victory Park.

The 45-year-old man is reportedly holed up on the fifth floor of the building in the 2300 block of Houston Street in Dallas. Police say the incident began around 10 am when the man learned that he was being evicted and fired shots after an argument with the manager. Residents were asked via email to remain in their homes around 10:30, and surrounding schools and businesses are on lockdown as police work to resolve the situation.

No injuries have been reported, but police are handling this as an active shooter case.
