UPDATE: Temple PD's Ellen Morton has responded to our inquiry about this shooting.

According to a news release penned by Morton, the victim of the shooting was an 18-year-old man named Isaac Kohlhaas. He passed away at Baylor Scott & White Hospital as a result of his injuries.

Morton did not identify a suspect. Police in Temple are investigating a shooting that happened in the parking lot of Walmart on West Adams Avenue Wednesday night.

Police responded to the shooting at 6801 W Adams Ave around 9:45 PM. When they arrived, they discovered an unidentified victim. That person was transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital. Police did not comment on the victim's condition.

The search for a suspect continued overnight.
