Student Caught with Gun at Killeen High School

An unidentified Killeen student was taken into police custody Thursday after being caught with a gun on campus.

After Killeen High School officials received information about a student being in possession of a weapon, they investigated and confiscated the weapon without incident. They then contacted police.

Administrators have not revealed what the weapon was and the school was not placed on lockdown.

School officials say that disciplinary action is pending. Students were given a letter to take home informing parents of the situation, and an automated call went out.
