The Central Texas Film Society (CTFS) has brought back its Summer Film Series, which features a monthly free screening of different classic movies.

The screenings take place one Sunday each month at 2:00 p.m. at the Cultural Activities Center (CAC), 3011 N 3rd St in Temple. Afterwards, the audience is invited to stick around and take part in a discussion on the film.

The series opened in June with the Gene Kelley musical comedy classic 'Singin' in the Rain' and continued in July with the iconic western film 'Shane'. Complete with popcorn and other concessions, the CTFS have done a fantastic job of creating an enjoyable community experience.

The series continues this Sunday with the 1942 Academy Award Winner for Best Picture, 'Casablanca'.

Here is the complete list of upcoming screenings:

7/30- Shane (1953)

8/27- Casablanca (1942)

9/24- West Side Story (1961)

10/29- The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
