A man is dead after he crashed his vehicle early Wednesday morning. KWTX's Paul J. Gately reported the crash happened near Mullin, Texas, and that the victim climbed to safety only to be hit by a driver who couldn't see the man.

A communications officer for the Department of Public Safety said, "the victim was driving on U.S. Highway 84 when he lost control of his vehicle, which left the roadway and rolled down a 30-foot embankment between Mullin and Goldthwaite."

The driver of the vehicle climbed up the embankment, and back up to the road to safety. A driver of another vehicle was unable to see the man, and hit him. The victim has not been named, and the second driver was not injured.
