KWTX reported that a teenager died at a local hospital on Thursday after collapsing at the end of a morning run in Harker Heights.

After the morning run,  the teenager was riding in a vehicle with a family member and passed out.

The family member that was driving the vehicle, pulled over in the 800 block of West Central Expressway. The family began CPR on the teenager, and called 911 to the scene.

When the emergency teams arrived, the teenager was unconscious and not breathing. The first response teams attempted several times to revive the teenager, but they were all unsuccessful.

The teenager was taken to Seton Medical Center Harker Heights, where he was pronounced dead. The teenager's name has not been released to the public, and an autopsy has been ordered for the teenager.
