Killeen police have released the name of a teen killed in a motorcycle crash Tuesday evening.

18-year-old Chase Williams suffered fatal injuries when his motorcycle collided with a minivan on Rancier Ave. shortly after 7:00 p.m. According to a preliminary investigation, Williams was traveling east on Rancier when the minivan attempted to turn south onto Crockett. Williams was unable to avoid the vehicle and slammed into its passenger side.

Williams was pronounced dead at 7:38 p.m. by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke. According to investigators, he was wearing a helmet. One of three occupants in the minivan was treated for minor injuries and released at the scene. Police will continue to investigate the crash.
