The Associated Press reports that three Central Texas high school seniors were arrested after authorities heard the trio planning to attack their school with explosives and firearms.

Superintendent of Taylor Independent School District, Keith Brown, said that students heard the boys talking about their heinous plan, and the students spread word to administrators of Taylor High School.

A Taylor detective and a Taylor High School officer arrested the trio of teenagers on Wednesday. The three were arrested on charges of making a terrorist threat, which is a misdemeanor.The teens were taken to Williamson County jail, and the authorities haven't released any information concerning a motive.

Authorities said none of the teens had weapons on their person when taken into custody, and school officals reported that no one was in danger at the school.
