The 71st Annual Temple Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting happens Monday, December 4.

The parade route runs from the intersection of East Adams Avenue and North 8th Street near Baker Field to Temple High School. City workers will close some roads along the parade route beginning at 4PM, so be prepared. No traffic will be allowed along Adams east of I-35 beginning at 5:45 until the end of the parade. At 6:15 PM, Mayor Danny Dunn will light the City's Christmas Tree at the Municipal Building, 2 North Main Street.

The parade begins at 6:30 PM and is expected to last around 90 minutes. Santa is expected to appear around 7:20 PM depending on the pace of the parade.

Temple Parks and Rec officials recommend getting there early.
