A Temple couple is behind bars after allegedly stealing over $20,000 worth of jewelry from a home.

38-year-old Rachel Marie Tello had access to the home as a hired cleaning person, and police say she abused that position and took several articles of jewelry on July 25 while working and gave them to her husband to pawn. That man – 27-year-old-James Asher Daugherty – was arrested on August 2. Tello turned herself in to the Bell County Jail on Monday.

Both are charged with theft over $20,000.
