Temple High School seniors Mariela Carrillo and Agnelica Pippins went head-to-head with some of the state's best students this past weekend in Dallas and did a great job representing their school and our community.

Both young women were honored in their events at the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) State Conference in Dallas.

Miss Carrillo was awarded a silver medal for her score on the Consumer Mathematics Family Consumer Science exam.

Miss Pippins' performance in the Job Interview STAR event earned her 5th place out of 15 students from across Texas. She was recognized on stage for her achievement.

We want to congratulate these exceptional young women. You've made the people of Temple proud!
