Temple ISD Teacher on Leave After Allegedly Encouraging One Student to Hit Another

Temple ISD officials are investigating an accusation that a teacher encouraged violence against a student at Wheatly Alternative Education Center Wednesday morning.

According to TISD spokesperson Mathew LeBlanc, the teacher in question reportedly told one student to hit another. That teacher has been placed on leave pending the results of the investigation which might be concluded as soon as Thursday.

LeBlanc did not name the teacher, nor could he elaborate on the incident other than to say it involved two children of elementary school age.
