83-Year-Old Texan Drives To Detroit to Help Restore His Hometown
Driven by a sense of loyalty to his native Michigan, an 83-year-old man now residing in Ravenna drove all the way to the Highland Park area of the greater Detroit area with checkbook in hand. He was going to give back.
Most folks would write off their old neighborhood if it looked like that now. Most 83-year-olds wouldn't travel thousands of miles to hand out dough, no strings attached, what with fixed incomes being common in that demographic.
This is heartwarming, to say the least. And I haven't even referred to his red "paw paw" suspenders!
