Add another state-elected official to the list of Texans backing Donald Trump for President.

Friday on our sister station in Lubbock, KFYO News/Talk 790, Texas Commissioner of Agriculture Sid Miller said emphatically that a Trump administration will be good for Texas' agriculture industry and for farmers in the Lone Star State.

Miller's backing of Trump came less than a day before another prominent Texas Republican, Land Commissioner George Prescott Bush in his capacity as a state GOP leader, said it was imperative for Texans to support Trump in order to defeat Hillary Clinton.

George P. Bush's father is former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, who was defeated for the nomination by Trump in what was a very contentious and spirited race.

Unlike Bush, whose comments seemed more utilitarian than inspired, Miller was effusive in his praise of the Republican nominee. The video above shows his conversation with KFYO host Chad Hasty last Friday.
