EULESS, Texas (AP) — Hundreds of friends and teachers gathered at a North Texas high school to remember and to mourn three students who died in a one-car accident.

Two had starred on Trinity High School's football team in the Fort Worth suburb of Euless, while the third was an incoming freshman. They were driving from Utah to Texas Monday evening when their car overturned in northern New Mexico.

One passenger was 19-year-old Polo Manukainiu (mah-NOO'-ky-uh-noo), a Texas A&M Aggies redshirt freshman last season. His Trojan teammate was 18-year-old Gaius Vaenuku (GYE'-uhs vah-eh-NOO'-koo), who was training for the Utah Utes, while the incoming Trinity freshman was 13-year-old Andrew Uhatafe (oo-HAH'-tah-fay).

The three came from the tightly knit Tongan community in Euless, from which many of the team's football stars have come in recent years.
