Texas Deli Worker Fired Over Breast-feeding Photos
SAN ANTONIO (AP) — A Jason's Deli employee in San Antonio has been fired after taking photos of a woman breast-feeding her 2-month-old son inside the restaurant.
Company spokeswoman Madison Boozer says the employee was fired because he violated the company's social media policy. She says Jason's Deli supports a woman's right to breast-feed. The employee's name hasn't been released.
Twenty-two-year-old Jamie Gustasfon says she was at the restaurant last week when she caught the man taking the photos. She says he criticized her for breast-feeding in public.
Gustasfon says her sister filed a police report after the restaurant's manager said the employee wouldn't be disciplined.
