Texas Girls Raise $10,000 For Dallas PD Families Selling Lemonade
12-year-old Lauren Roach and 11-year-old Landry Nelon might be the two sweetest little girls on the Internet this week. The tragedy in Dallas touched both Lauren and Landry's hearts. They decided that one way they could help would be to raise funds with their lemonade stand, and to send the proceeds to the families of the fallen in the Dallas Police Department.
Word quickly spread through their neighborhood and their church community. In fact Lauren and Landry's church decided they would match all the proceeds from the lemonade stand to help the girls donate even more.
The crew sold off about 20 gallons of lemonade, and the community decided they wanted to be a part of the donation regardless, and money kept coming in.
It's a story that proves your never too young to be a part of a great cause helping those in need.
