The experience from this video conjures up two emotions - my heart felt warm from the officer's gesture but sad from the obvious fear the driver was overcome by. Halifax Police Department set out on a mission of good will to keep everyone cool during this hot Texas summer.

Officer Warner greeted the driver amiably and let her know that she was in violation of "Vehicle Code 1739", stating that it's against the law to drive on a hot day without an ice cream cone.

Her response made me laugh with her until I realized how scared she appeared to be before the great reveal. As many have commented on the initial thread, it's a small step towards something great and we all need to continue moving that way.
