The hazy weather over Central Texas looks like it may have traveled all the way from Africa! KWTX News 10 Meteorologist Sean Bellafiore says it could be dust from the Sahara Desert being pushed by trade winds all the way to Texas! Sean says, "... because we have a south wind this week, it's helping to pull all that dust up into Central Texas."

It may not seem like there is extra dust in the air to some, but if you suffer from allergies then your probably already noticing the difference outside. Even folks who don't usually suffer from allergy symptoms are noticing the tiny particles of dust. The most common symptoms are wheezing, itchy watery eyes, and a runny nose.

The best way to avoid the dust is to stay indoors and keep doors and windows closed. Most over-the-counter medicine can help counter the symptoms onset by the extra dust.
