Only one is better, and that's still questioned in the state of Texas.

The Fiscal Times ranked Supermarkets around America and a Texas tradition is also an American institution as H-E-B was ranked number 2 in the nation.

It lost out to something called Publix. I'm sure you've already made the "joke" that everyone makes when they see Publix on a sign. For those that don't know, they are also a Southern Chain covering Florida, Georgia, the Carolina's, Alabama & Tennessee.

Walmart came in at 25, while Aldi landed at 7. Number 3 was Kroger, so if you travel to Bryan/College Station you can brag about them.

Target, Albertsons, Whole Foods, Sam's Club, Costco, and my old favorite when I was kid, Piggly Wiggly, all made the list, but H-E-B is still the king of Texas.
